Amtane Dam is in a great location about 20 km from Mapusa. It is not only created for visitors and picnic lovers, but also a great place to relax.
The dam supplies raw water to the nearby Sankelim hydrotherapy station. Although not large, it offers picturesque views of the basin and the Sahyadri range through the entrance to the dam.
To visit Amtane Dam, turn left at Asonora Bridge fork instead of driving towards Biholim.
