Nanuz Fort in Goa ( Nanus Fort Goa)
Nanus Fort, located in Satari taluka and historically associated with the queens, holds significance for its role in the 19th century attacks against the colonialists. Deepaji Rane and her army, which consisted of disgruntled farmers who opposed the imposition of new taxes, were unhappy with the imposition of new taxes. They fought against the Portuguese and successfully gained control of Satari, as well as large areas of Quepem and Canacona talukas.
In the end, the Portuguese were forced to accept their defeat and accede to the demands of Rane and his supporters. However, alas the Portuguese did not keep their promises after the rebellion was over.
Nowadays, the fort lies in ruins but holds historical significance as it was constructed in the seventeenth century. At present, the fort can only be seen in its remnants. To access the fort, visitors must need to walk up a small hill.

Nanuz Fort is located about 48 kilometers from Panaji. The easiest ways to get there are through Ponda or Panaji. You have two convenient options: either through Ponda or Panaji.
